A space where clay, design, and intuition meet.

I’m Barbara Caulkins Friedrichova, an artist and designer based in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. With a background in architecture, my work draws on minimalist forms, quiet lines, and the beauty of simplicity.

Clay is my primary medium — a practice that has taught me patience, trust in the process, and an appreciation for imperfection. I often leave my pieces unglazed or finished with oxide, allowing the raw texture of the material to speak for itself.

Originally from the Czech Republic, I hold a Master’s in Architecture and Design from the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague. My years as an architect and interior designer in Europe continue to shape the way I think about form, space, and craft.
